About

A small firm for high-consequence systems

Snapvio was founded on a simple observation: the systems that matter most in regulated industries are too often built by the least experienced people in the room. We do the opposite.

Founder & Principal

Snapvio

Two decades building and modernizing production systems inside banks, insurers, and other regulated operators — across core platforms, cloud foundations, data pipelines, and, more recently, agentic AI.

Why we exist

In regulated industries, an architecture decision is not just a technical choice — it is something that has to be explained to a regulator, defended to a board, and maintained by whoever comes next. That raises the bar for who should be making it.

Snapvio keeps engagements small and staffed entirely with senior engineers who have shipped in these environments before. We bring the patterns, the failure modes, and the control expectations with us, so your team is not discovering them under deadline.

We are deliberately not a body shop. We would rather do fewer engagements well, leave each client stronger, and be invited back.

What we hold to

Principles, not slogans

Compliance by design

Controls, auditability, and evidence are part of the architecture from the first diagram — not a remediation project later.

Senior engineers only

Every person on an engagement has shipped production systems in a regulated environment. No pyramid, no learning on your time.

We leave you stronger

Knowledge transfer, documentation, and paved paths are deliverables. Success is your team running it confidently without us.

Decisions you can defend

Every significant choice comes with the trade-offs written down, so it holds up in front of a regulator, a board, or the next engineer.

How an engagement runs

The same shape every time

01

We start with the constraint

Every engagement opens with the thing that makes the problem hard — the regulator, the legacy system, the data boundary, the resilience target. The architecture follows from there.

02

We design in the open

Decisions, trade-offs, and rejected options are written down as we go. Your team is in the room, not handed a finished document.

03

We build alongside your engineers

Small senior teams, paired with yours. Paved paths, tests, and runbooks are part of the work, not a phase at the end.

04

We hand it over properly

Success is your team operating the system confidently without us. Knowledge transfer is scheduled, not hoped for.
