Careers
Work on systems that actually matter
We're a small firm of senior engineers building software, cloud, data, and AI agent platforms for financial services, insurance, and other highly regulated industries. No bench, no pyramid — every hire leads.
Why Snapvio
What working here is actually like
Senior engineers only
No bench, no pyramid, no learning on a client’s clock. Every hire is someone who could lead the engagement on day one.
Client-facing from week one
You will be in the room with client architects, security reviewers, and sometimes regulators — not shielded behind a account manager.
Depth over breadth
We work in financial services, insurance, and regulated industries specifically. You get to go deep instead of context-switching across every vertical.
Real ownership, then a real handoff
You own outcomes on an engagement, then transfer that ownership deliberately. Knowledge transfer is part of the job, not an afterthought.
Open roles
4 senior positions, fully remote-friendly
Every role below sits on one of our four core practices. Don't see an exact match? Reach out anyway — see the note at the bottom.
01
Senior Software Architect
Software Architecture & Engineering
Own technical direction on client engagements — from architecture assessment through hands-on delivery — modernizing core systems for banks, insurers, and other regulated operators.
Apply for this roleOpens an email to hr@snapvio.com — attach your resume.
What you'll do
- Lead architecture assessments and design target-state architectures for core systems, APIs, and event-driven platforms
- Write production code alongside client engineering teams — this is a hands-on role, not slideware
- Run domain-driven design workshops and translate them into service boundaries and delivery plans
- Establish secure-SDLC practices: threat modeling, SAST/DAST, dependency and secrets scanning
- Document trade-offs and defend design decisions to client architecture review boards and, when needed, regulators
- Mentor client engineers and transfer ownership deliberately before rolling off an engagement
What you bring
- 8+ years building production systems, including 3+ in an architect or tech-lead role
- Delivered inside a regulated environment (banking, insurance, healthcare, or similar) — you know what a SOC 2, PCI DSS, or model-risk review actually expects of an architecture
- Deep hands-on experience in at least one of: Java/Kotlin, .NET, Go, or a TypeScript backend stack
- A track record of decomposing monoliths into services without a "big bang" rewrite
- Comfortable being the most senior engineer in the room from day one of a client engagement
Nice to have
- Event-driven architecture experience (Kafka), API gateways, consumer-driven contract testing
- Prior consulting, professional services, or other client-facing delivery experience
02
Senior Cloud Platform Engineer
Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering
Design and build regulated-ready cloud foundations — landing zones, guardrails, and internal developer platforms — on AWS, Azure, or GCP for financial services and insurance clients.
Apply for this roleOpens an email to hr@snapvio.com — attach your resume.
What you'll do
- Build multi-account/subscription landing zones with controls mapped to each client’s compliance obligations
- Write and review Terraform modules that other engineers depend on; enforce policy as code (OPA/Sentinel)
- Design Kubernetes platforms and progressive-delivery pipelines
- Set up identity, network segmentation, key management, and data-residency controls
- Run FinOps: cost visibility, allocation, and optimization for client cloud spend
- Present architecture and control mappings directly to client security and compliance teams
What you bring
- 7+ years in cloud or platform engineering, including production ownership of a multi-account AWS, Azure, or GCP environment
- Deep Terraform experience — comfortable writing and reviewing modules, not just running `apply`
- Working knowledge of a compliance framework relevant to finance or insurance (PCI DSS, FFIEC, SOC 2, HIPAA, or similar)
- Kubernetes in production, not only in a personal lab
- Can explain a control decision to a security reviewer without hand-waving
Nice to have
- Multi-cloud experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Professional-level cloud certifications are a plus — never a substitute for production experience
03
Senior Data Pipeline Engineer
Data Pipeline Engineering
Build the batch and streaming pipelines regulated clients trust for regulatory reporting, risk, and fraud — with data contracts, lineage, and quality checks built in from day one.
Apply for this roleOpens an email to hr@snapvio.com — attach your resume.
What you'll do
- Design and build streaming and batch pipelines (Kafka, Flink/Spark, dbt) feeding risk, fraud, and regulatory reporting
- Define data contracts and enforce them with automated quality checks, not tribal knowledge
- Build lineage and cataloging so a reviewer can trace any number back to its source
- Architect lakehouse/warehouse platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) with proper access control and PII handling
- Own pipeline observability — you should know a pipeline is wrong before a client does
- Pair with client data engineers to hand off a platform they can run confidently without you
What you bring
- 7+ years in data engineering, including systems that feed financial/regulatory reporting or real-time risk decisions
- Production experience with a streaming platform (Kafka, Kinesis, or Flink) and a modern warehouse or lakehouse
- You understand that "the pipeline ran" is not the same as "the number is right," and you build accordingly
- Comfortable with PII handling, tokenization, and consent-aware data flows
Nice to have
- dbt, Airflow/Dagster, and lineage tooling (OpenLineage, Unity Catalog) experience
- Experience specifically with banking, insurance, or payments data platforms
04
Senior AI Agent Engineer
AI Agent Architecture & Engineering
Design and build agentic AI systems safe to put in front of regulators, auditors, and customers — with evaluation harnesses, guardrails, and full traceability — for clients automating underwriting, claims, and operations.
Apply for this roleOpens an email to hr@snapvio.com — attach your resume.
What you'll do
- Architect agent orchestration, tool use, and retrieval systems grounded in a client’s governed knowledge base
- Build evaluation harnesses and regression suites — you should be uncomfortable shipping an agent you haven’t measured
- Implement guardrails: PII redaction, prompt-injection defense, human-in-the-loop escalation
- Produce the logging, documentation, and evidence a model-risk team will actually ask for (SR 11-7-style review)
- Work directly with client compliance and risk teams to get agentic systems approved, not just built
- Tell a client honestly when agentic AI is not the right answer for their problem
What you bring
- 5+ years in software or ML engineering, including 2+ years building production LLM-based or agentic systems
- Hands-on with retrieval-augmented generation, tool-calling/orchestration frameworks, and evaluation tooling — beyond prompt experiments
- Understand, or can quickly learn, model risk management concepts well enough to write documentation a risk committee will accept
- Can identify a failure mode in your own agent before a client does
Nice to have
- Experience in a regulated industry or with a model risk management function
- Contributions to open-source agent or orchestration tooling
